OffSec Workshop - OT war games using Kali Purple

As cyber threats against critical infrastructure continue to escalate, traditional IT security measures often fall short in Operational Technology (OT) environments where safety, reliability, and continuous availability are paramount.

Led by Carsten and Malcolm, the lead developers of Kali Purple and authors of OffSec’s Introduction to OT Cybersecurity: Protecting Critical Infrastructure and SOC-200: Security Operations and Defensive Analysis, this workshop bridges the gap between theoretical OT security and practical, hands-on defense.

"OT War Games using Kali Purple" immerses participants in a simulated OT environment. Through a series of interactive threat hunting scenarios, attendees will learn how to leverage Kali Purple’s comprehensive "SOC-In-A-Box" defensive toolset to detect, analyze, and mitigate cyber attacks directed at industrial control systems and critical infrastructure.

2. Hands-on with Kali Purple: Learn how to deploy and utilize Kali Purple’s suite of defensive tools for threat hunting, incident response, and network traffic analysis within an OT context.
3. Simulated OT Attack & Defense: Participate in "War Games" that simulate attacks on SCADA systems, PLCs, and industrial networks, and execute the corresponding blue team defenses.
4. Purple Teaming Methodologies: Adopt a purple-team mindset—understanding attacker tradecraft to build more resilient defenses and security postures for critical infrastructure.
