CyberPath

Australia’s future security dependson world-class cyber professionals whose skills and experience can be understood, trusted and deployed where they are needed. Yet roles, expectations and pathways vary across the cyber security sector, creating uncertainty for professionals, employers and educators while limiting the industry’s ability to respond more effectively to increasingly sophisticated threats. CyberPath is a government-backed pilot program designed to address that challenge. It will establish career and education pathways, consistent skills requirements, and frameworks for assessing, developing and recognising capability. Co-funded by the Department of Home Affairs and central to Australia’s Cyber Security Strategy 2023–2030, CyberPath is led by consortium partners ACS, AISA and Aus3C. The program is being shaped through consultation with cyber professionals, employers, educators, students and stakeholders. Through town halls, working groups, surveys and industry engagement, CyberPath is shaping a resilient, future-ready, and world-class cyber security industry for Australia.
