Trevor Lau

Trevor Lau is a Senior Security Lead at Telstra with over a decade of experience driving large-scale cyber security, cloud, and digital transformation initiatives across complex enterprise environments. He specialises in translating deep technical risk into pragmatic, business-led security outcomes that scale.

Trevor currently leads several enterprise-wide cyber security programs, including Telstra’s technical cyber training and security awareness programs, embedding secure-by-design practices across thousands of engineers and product teams. He has been actively involved in major cyber assurance and data protection initiatives, strengthened cross-carrier resiliency against malicious content and misuse, and led targeted security uplift programs supporting Emergency Service Organisations and critical communications infrastructure.

With a strong background in DevSecOps, cloud-native architectures, and a passion for "getting things done", Trevor has led teams working across multi-cloud environments, IT/OT technologies and enterprise transformative and cultural uplift programs.

Outside of work, Trevor loves exploring new recipes to make and spend time with his two boys (who also enjoys his cooking... well he hopes anyway.)
