Tony Kitzelmann

Tony Kitzelmann is the Head of Technology Strategy, Assurance and Cyber at Airservices Australia and is focused on leading the development of resilient and future ready technology supporting the business. Tony leads a team of professionals who shape and secure the future of technology that manage 11% of the global airspace for the regions aviation sector. Tony leads his team to embed safety and resilience into the design and management of systems and services to provide contemporary and flexible solutions to meet the aviation demands of Australians.

Tony’s experience in the technology leadership is complemented by his previous work across multiple sectors. Most recently through his role as the CISO and CTO for the Australian Digital Health Agency where he designed and implemented the cyber security practice securing Australia’s “My Health Record” system and the health records of twenty-seven million citizens.

Prior to this role, Tony was the Senior Cyber Security Executive and Chief Information Security Officer (APAC) at Lockheed Martin for five years from 2012. In this role, he was accountable for the strategic leadership and delivery of corporate cyber security functions within the ASIA Pacific region and provided functional leadership to the various business lines in the region.

Tony is always looking to further his knowledge through new challenges working within cyber and technology domains and believes that our role as leaders in this exciting field, is to challenge the status quo and look at ways in which we can shape the future and resilience of our respective organisations.

He holds numerous industry and academic qualifications and most notably a Masters in Cyber Security, Strategy and Diplomacy from UNSW.
