Simone van Nieuwenhuizen

Simone is Lead Analyst, Cyber Threat Intelligence at the Reserve Bank of Australia, and volunteers as a Sydney Chapter Lead for The Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN). She has worked in cyber security roles across NSW Government and at Australian startup Retrospect Labs. She led the winning teams for the 2022 and 2023 AWSN Incident Response Competition. Before starting her cyber security career, Simone was a specialist in Chinese politics and international relations. She holds a BA (Languages), MA in International Relations, and CISM, GCFA and GCIH certifications.
