Pranjali Mahabaley

Pranjali Mahabaley, a GRC specialist and Cyber Security Engineer, is currently leading ISO 27001 and Essential Eight implementation at BildGroup. She brings a practitioner's mindset to compliance and engineering efficiency where others see paperwork. Known for finding innovative and automated ways to streamline cyber security processes, she leverages AI and creative problem-solving tools to transform how security work gets done, saving organisations tens of thousands in operational costs. She takes an all-encompassing approach to cyber security, elevating cyber culture by engaging directly with end users, while also delivering clear security metrics reporting to ELT, Board, and Risk Committees.

With a foundation in SOC operations and experience teaching cyber security at TAFE, Pranjali bridges the gap between real-world threat data and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance strategies that are both rigorous and practical.

An active contributor to the security community, Pranjali is a member of AISA, AWSN, and ISACA, and serves as Chapter Leader for WomenTech Australia. She also writes on cyber security for Medium and CyberDaily. Pranjali has participated in panel discussions and spoken at various events and conferences across the cyber security landscape. CyberCon 2026 marks her third year on CyberCon stage.
