Paul Tyler is a technology leader at CSIRO whose work focuses on data risk, privacy, and information governance and protection. He led the development of the Industry Data Classification Framework (IDCF) by the CSIRO team, in partnership with the Department of Home Affairs and through extensive collaboration with Australian industry and government stakeholders.

Paul is passionate about equipping organisations to make informed decisions about data and manage it appropriately. His work focuses on developing practical, risk-based approaches to data protection that strengthen cyber and digital resilience, enable secure data sharing, and build trust in the technologies that underpin Australia's technology economy.
