Nick Thanos

Nick is a Principal Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) Analyst who supports organisations through high-impact cyber incidents. His work focuses on ransomware, business email compromise and broader threat actor activity, helping clients respond, recover and strengthen their security posture.

He began his career as a systems administrator and network engineer before moving into network consulting. In that role, he worked with large enterprises to design and implement secure infrastructure and network defence solutions.

Nick later transitioned into offensive security, delivering penetration testing and red teaming engagements. This experience provided a practical understanding of how attackers think, operate and exploit weaknesses in real environments.

He now specialises in incident response, working on active breaches and post-incident investigations. Nick has developed incident response plans, procedures and playbooks, and regularly supports organisations during critical events.

His approach is grounded in hands-on experience across both offensive and defensive security. This allows him to bridge the gap between theory and practice, giving organisations clear, actionable insight during some of their most challenging moments.
