Mel began her career in software development but quickly discovered she had a knack for breaking things rather than building them. This realisation led her into the world of offensive security, where she has worked as a penetration tester, team lead, and security consultant. Mel has also contributed to the security community through her involvement with TOOOL Australia and as an organiser of OzSecCon, a conference focused on physical security.
