Malak Youssef

Cyber Security Engineer - Automation and AI
DXC Technology

Malak Youssef leads AI and automation initiatives within the Group Technology Consulting Office (GTCO) in ANZ, with a focus on designing security systems that are accountable, resilient, and controlled by design. Her work challenges the industry’s push toward unchecked autonomy, advocating instead for agentic systems that are observable, auditable, and governed.

With a background spanning SOC operations, detection engineering, and security architecture, Malak specialises in bridging traditional security practices with emerging AI capabilities. She builds production-ready systems that integrate AI into security operations, enforcing observability, control, and protection across every layer, from identity and infrastructure to agentic workloads and threat response to deliver structured, repeatable, and defensible outcomes at scale.

Her approach is grounded in a simple principle: systems should not only perform, but be trusted. She is a strong advocate for responsible AI adoption, emphasising guardrails, failure design, and human oversight to ensure that intelligent systems enhance decision-making without compromising control.
