Karley Donnelly

Karley is a Senior Defensive Cyber Security Analyst at SA Power Networks, South Australia’s sole electricity distributor. She began her cyber security career in 2021 after completing a graduate program with the organisation, quickly building hands-on experience in protecting critical infrastructure.

Working within the Security Operations team, Karley is passionate about safeguarding South Australia’s energy supply. Her work has focused on email security, incident response, and driving process improvements to strengthen organisational resilience. She thrives in high-pressure environments and enjoys the constant challenge that comes with defending a critical infrastructure network.

Karley is particularly interested in bridging the gap between technical SOC operations and user awareness, recognising that human behaviour plays a crucial role in security outcomes. Alongside incident response, she has contributed to initiatives in system hardening to reduce risk across the business. She is also committed to supporting the next generation of cyber security professionals, with experience mentoring aspiring talent, including women entering the field.
