John Ellis
John Ellis is Global Head of Security Trust and Influence at QBE, where he focuses on helping organisations translate cyber security from operational activity into clearer executive and board-level decisions. His work sits at the intersection of cyber security, geopolitics, and business value, with a particular interest in how geopolitical disruption, systemic risk, and concentration risk flow through technology, critical supply chains, and organisational decision-making.
John has held senior roles across banking, healthcare, and technology, including positions at Bupa, Standard Chartered, Barclays, and Akamai, and has worked across Asia-Pacific and global markets in complex, highly regulated environments. He holds a Master of Cyber Security, Strategy and Diplomacy from UNSW and advocates a risk-led, intelligence-informed approach to cyber resilience.
