Cameron Hall

Principal Consultant
Red Hornet

Cameron is a cyber threat intelligence specialist who spends most of his time helping enterprise organisations understand the threats that actually matter, and more importantly what to do about them. His work sits at the intersection of intelligence, operations, and automation, with a focus on turning noisy data into actionable outcomes for security teams.

He started his career in offensive security as a pentester and red teamer in consulting before moving into cyber threat intelligence within the financial sector. Along the way, he has worked across detection engineering, threat hunting, and intelligence-led defence, and has also taught cyber security at university level, discovering that explaining complex ideas clearly is often harder than breaking things.

These days, he operates across consulting and independent research, building systems that blend deterministic pipelines with LLM-driven analysis to surface high-signal intelligence at scale. His interests include software supply chain compromise, adversary tradecraft, and how emerging technologies are reshaping both attack and defence.

A natural tinkerer, Cam enjoys pulling apart technology to see how it works and occasionally how it fails in strange and unexpected ways. He has a particular appreciation for elegant systems, creative abuse of tools, and finding out what the bad guys are up to.
