Caitriona Forde

Caitriona Forde is a Cyber Safety and Human Factors expert with over 20 years’ experience in IT and cyber security. She holds a Master’s in Cyber Security and is currently undertaking PhD research focused on human behaviour in cyber risk.

As the Founder of caIT Cyber Safe, Caitriona works with organisations across government, industry, and community sectors to design practical, behaviour-focused cyber safety programs that move beyond compliance and into real-world capability. Her work centres on a critical gap in the industry: the disconnect between security awareness and how people actually think, decide, and act when faced with cyber threats.

She is known for challenging traditional approaches to security awareness and Human Risk Management, bringing a practical, evidence-informed perspective to what is often accepted as “best practice”.

Caitriona is a regular speaker and educator, and an advocate for cyber safety as a life skill, helping organisations build capability, not just awareness.
