Ben Cooper joined the cyber security team at SA Power Networks in late 2020 as a Cybersecurity Analyst, beginning his career in the industry at just 19. Since then, he has led and contributed to initiatives across security automation and cyber operations, including API automation, Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) playbooks, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) integrations, and Malware Information Sharing Platform (MISP) automation.

He is also part of the Cybersecurity Operations team, supporting the detection, investigation, and response to day-to-day cyber incidents across the organisation.

Ben has presented at major international cyber security conferences, including Fal.Con 2024 and RSA Conference 2025, where he spoke about identifying and analysing attack paths and how organisations can reduce risk by understanding and disrupting the pathways attackers use to move through environments.
