Dr Anagi Gamachchi is an academic and researcher at Deakin University, Australia, specialising in Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, and cyber security. She holds a PhD in Mathematical Sciences from RMIT University, with a focus on mathematical models for insider threat detection, and First Class Honours in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering.

Anagi has contributed to several key cyber security initiatives, including the "Enhancing Cyber Security of Australian Universities" project at RMIT Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation, which developed governance and risk mitigation resources for the higher education sector. Additionally, she assisted in developing a guidance library on critical infrastructure security for the joint Deakin CSRI and Deloitte submission to the Department of Home Affairs.

With over fourteen years of academic experience and a professional background as a Systems Engineer, she focuses on bridging the gap between technical engineering and the strategic oversight needed to navigate the modern AI and cyber risk landscape.
