Australian cyber security incidents are increasingly leading to lawsuits and litigation. When serious incidents occur, it is now common for customers, regulators and shareholders to sue the organisations that have suffered a breach, and also for both the breached organisation and their insurers to pursue IT managed service providers (MSPs) over alleged failures that contributed to the cyber incidents occurring.
