Women In CyberSecuirty (WiCyS)

Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) is a global community dedicated to advancing women in cybersecurity. WiCyS Australia brings that mission to life locally by connecting students, emerging professionals and experienced leaders across industry, government and academia.

Through networking events, mentoring, student engagement and professional development, the affiliate helps members build skills, expand their networks and explore career opportunities. It also creates space for people working across technical, policy, privacy and leadership roles to share knowledge and support one another.

Led by volunteers, WiCyS Australia works with universities, employers and community partners to strengthen the cybersecurity talent pipeline and encourage more women to enter, stay and progress in the field. Its activities span major cities and regional communities, making connections accessible at different career stages.

WiCyS Australia was recognised as WiCyS International Affiliate of the Year in 2026, reflecting the commitment of its volunteers and the strength of its growing community.
