Senior OT Cyber Security Engineer
Resilience

Ali Mohammed is a Senior OT Cyber Security Engineer and Head of Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) at Resilience, where he built and leads a state-of-the-art OT/ICS security lab used for attack simulation, detection engineering, and safety-first architecture validation. He also serves as Lead OT/ICS Trainer and Pre-Sales Technical Proposal Lead, giving him a rare combination of deep technical delivery, client-facing advisory, and hands-on research experience.

Ali’s day-to-day work spans OT security operations centre development, protocol-aware detection for Modbus and Siemens S7 environments, secure remote access architecture for industrial networks, and compliance delivery against frameworks like NCA OTCC, ISA/IEC 62443, and NIST SP 800-82. He has led OT Cyber Security engagements across critical infrastructure sectors including water treatment, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, defence manufacturing, smart cities, and aviation, covering everything from asset visibility and risk assessment to incident response planning and security awareness training for operations staff.

On the R&D side, Ali designed and led the build of an in-house OT/IIoT SOC solution with flexible on-premises and cloud deployment, developed offensive OT training programmes covering PLC exploitation and safety system compromise, and implemented AI-powered compliance automation using retrieval-augmented generation for critical infrastructure clients. His lab work includes deploying Caldera for OT threat emulation and building IIoT edge-to-cloud monitoring pipelines with Siemens PLCs and Azure.

Ali holds a Master of Science in Cyber Security from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, one of the top 100 universities worldwide, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication. His certifications include ISC2 Certified in Cyber Security, with GICSP and CISSP currently in progress. He is a Nozomi Certified Cyber Defender and Dragos Approved Deployment Partner.

A seasoned speaker, Ali has presented at Black Hat MEA, RSA Conference, and the Global Airports Conference (IAAE), among other industry events across critical infrastructure and industrial security. He has also secured a research and development grant from Saudi Arabia’s National Cyber Security Authority and published peer-reviewed research on quantum-assisted wireless architectures through ACM.
